Offline Database

Healthdata was also available as a disc based offline database, also in the viewdata format.  It seems as if it was mostly a copy of the online content, so we present it here for your delight and access..

    DRUG ABUSE          Introduction

Even though most people regard both
 smoking and drinking as acceptable
adult behaviour, it is important to
 realise that both involve dangerous,
 habit-forming drugs.

The abuse of other drugs is alarming
and is increasing in certain age groups
in many areas. However the scale of the
problem is small compared with the much
larger incidence of alcohol and tobacco
 addiction.

However it is important that young
people are aware of the types of drugs
that are misused, so they can avoid the
 risk of experimenting with them.
