CHD What is it? The pain of angina improves with rest and treatment is available to control the symptoms. Sudden, complete blockage of coronary arteries results in a HEART ATTACK. The loss of blood supply causes serious damage to the affected heart muscle. Heart attacks cause very severe and prolonged chest pain, with sweating, weakness and even collapse.
