Healthdata was also available as a disc based offline database, also in the viewdata format.  It seems as if it was mostly a copy of the online content, so we present it here for your delight and access..

      This disease is caused by a virus 
 very like the one that causes ordinary 
 cold sores.                            
                                        
      The symptoms usually start about  
 five days after infection with tingling
 and burning in the genital region and a
 'flu like illness with head and back   
 pain and fever.                        
                                        
      Later, small blisters will appear 
 in and around the genital area. It is  
 possible for women to have these in the
 vagina and not be aware of them.       
                                        
      Further attacks may recur every   
 few months but these are usually less  
 severe.
