Hepatitis B This disease is caused by a virus and is caught by close contact with body fluids such as blood, saliva and urine. It is possible to have the disease and pass it on without knowing it. The symptoms are in three stages 1. Flu like illness with cough, loss of appetite, sore throat & tiredness. 2. Jaundice. Skin and eyes turn yellow. Urine becomes dark, stools are pale. 3. Recovery with loss of yellow colour and gradual return to health. There is no cure and treatment is rest and careful medical supervision. Key 1 Hepatitis B Vaccination
