The "CHCs" were set up in 1974 to
provide the opportunity for the general
public to have a say in the way local
health services are run. The members
come from all walks of life and are all
local people.
Your CHC has to be consulted about
changes in the operation of the local
health facilities and its members visit
the clinics and hospitals, reporting on
what they find.
Feel free to contact your CHC if
you need advice on any local health
services. They will also help you make
complaints if things have gone wrong.
