Offline Database
Healthdata was also available as a disc based offline database, also in the viewdata format. It seems as if it was mostly a copy of the online content, so we present it here for your delight and access..

Nitrates Farmers use nitrogen fertilisers to maximise the yield from their land. The nitrates get washed out of the land and end up in rivers and lakes. The extra nitrate causes overgrowth of small green organisms called algae. These can become so abundant that they stop light penetrating into the water preventing the growth of other plants. Nitrates also get into drinking water. In some areas, particularly at times of drought, the concentration of nitrate in water can be high enough to be hazardous to health. Babies are particularly at risk. Phosphates - key 1
